bas-ki dushvaar hai har kaam kaa aasaa.n honaa
aadmii ko bhii mayassar nahii.n insaa.n honaa

Meaning
It’s just that it’s difficult for anything to be easy
It’s not possible for a human being to be human.
Explanation/Comment:
What should be the easiest thing for human beings to do? To be human. But that’s exactly what they find the most difficult.
They will
1. fight, when they must be friends,
2. crib, when they must count their blessings,
3. blame, when they must introspect,
4. criticise, when they must praise,
5. abandon, when they must support,
6. brow-beat, when they must uplift,
7. lust for power/fame/wealth, when they must inculcate compassion, charity, love, non-violence and empathy.
Why should the qualities that make one human not become the underlying characteristics of human beings?
Why should the inhuman in humans always prevail?
It’s the negative emotions of hatred, greed, anger, jealousy, excessive acquisitiveness that arouse the inhuman within us.
It’s the positive emotions of love, care, friendship, appreciation, compassion, empathy, self-transendence that make us human.
It’s not easy for any work to be simple (dushwar hai har kaam ka asañ hona). Yes. But, if the inhuman within is silenced, it’s very easy.
