The other’s sweet talks have proved effective
She/he doesn’t even have an inkling of the love we, the speechless, hold
Explanation/Comment:
It’s oftentimes seen that the sweet talkers and flatterers wriggle their way into the hearts of the beloved.
At the same time, the real lovers remain tongue-tied as they cannot do such flattery.
In fact the gullible beloved is so taken in by the sweet talker that she/he doesn’t even have an idea that the real lovers wait in despair, speechless.
It’s often the silent admirer who is the most loyal and precious but gets sidelined. While the sweet talkers have their way, and often it’s too late when the beloved realises.
What applies to the beloved applies equally to leaders. The powerful are often surrounded by hypocrites and sycophants while the really loyal gets sidelined.
