ham ko ma.aluum hai jannat kii haqiiqat lekin
dil ke KHush rakhne ko ‘Ghaalib’ ye KHayaal achchhaa hai

Meaning
I know the reality of Heaven and yet
It’s a good means, ‘Ghalib’, to humour the heart
Explanation:
The purists and preachers caution the believers against evil deeds and offer the candy of a blissful life in heaven if the faithful follow them and the scriptures.
To such as these, Ghalib says: I know the reality of this so-called heaven. It’s just a good way to humour one’s heart.
In other words, one needs to do good deeds because they are inherently good, not due to the fear of some hell or the lure of some heaven.
